I'm going to take the battery out and just run it off the AC adaptor for a little while.I just hope that it will not mess my comp up if I do it all of the time for 9 or more hrs a day.

The computer doesn't care where it gets it's power from. The internal power supply runs on either battery or AC adapter equally well. The only consideration is the condition of the battery. As it ages, it will decrease in it's storage capacity and run down sooner. It is NOT necessary to run the battery down completely before recharging it. That is an old requirement left over from Ni-Cad batteries. The newer Lithium-Ion batteries do not have the same "set" problem.

Running a laptop with the battery removed will not cause any harm.
