Solved: ATI or ASUS update
I have an ASUS EAH 4870 512mb card which needs updating. Should I use the drivers from ATI or from ASUS?

Download from Ati site. Newest and most optimized drivers.

What does "needs updating" mean? Unless you have some specific reason, and if it is working well already, you may be taking an unnecessary risk.
