Question how to obtain a copy of my bios change then flash it in the safest manner
ok so im running a toshiba satillite a135-s7404 and toshiba has given it kind of a lame limited bios

things wrong with this bios:
1. it will not allow you to use over 2 gbs of ram
2. there is one supported processor that is bigger but the bios also blocks the use of the bigger processor

*note: i understand that bios flashing is risky, i also understand that this will reduce my battery life, and please note i dont care i keep this thing plugged in most of the time anyways, so........

so i only need a few things....
1. a copy of my bios....
2. a way to mod it so its unrestricted....
3. a way to flash it (in the most safe manner)

any help that you can give would be greatly appreciated

and if you are wondering why im doing such a demented thing it is because the computer runs slow on only 2 gbs of memory and a 1.73 processor it could use a slight tweak, thanks

Does the new BIOS contain the changes you want? If not, there is no sense in risking a loss of your machine.

And a Bios Update will not likely allow you to use more ram than the Motherboard is currently capable of running. Checking the Bios Updates doesn't appear that any of the ones available will help you correct the CPU Compatibility issue.
