Exclamation Solved: CPU/GPU overheating
Hi;

Recently, my system has taken to freezing completley, even when it's idling.
If I have an internet browser open and a video file open, occasionaly it will completley freeze, i.e the sound that was playing on the video file will loop. I looked into it, and apparently it was over heating. I got speed fan, but my motherboard is not sutiable for it, so I cannot adjust my fans. I'd like to know if the temps are within Intel specs, and what I can do.

HP PAVILLION m9373.me

Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium 32bit - Service Pack 2

Motherboard: PEGATRON - Benicia

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9300 @ 2.50GHz

BIOS Date: 04/21/08 11:00:40 Ver: 5.23 AMERICAN MEGATRENDS

4GB DDR RAM (3.5 because of 32bit OS)

I don't really want to go into watercooling etc... but I guess I'll have to.

Could anyone tell me, If I post screenshots, which wires to remove/replace to overide my fans and have them run off the power at 100% RPM?

Cheers

What happened recently to make it run hot? If those fan speeds are correct they are running way too slow.
Did you by chance change the power supply to a lower wattage?

It's ok now I installed a graphics card utility and it pulled my graphics card down by 23c and my CPU by 12c.

It's all good
