Flash Drive Error

Question Flash Drive Error
Whenever i insert my flash drive windows explorer craps itself and all currently active apps become unresponsive. within a few senconds of removing my flash drive it all comes back and starts working again.

I've scanned my computer with trend micro and it comes up clean however, i cant scan the flash drive because within seconds of inserting it the system dies.
