Keyboard Layout Does Not Match Characters
My girlfriend has a keyboard by eMachines whose top row begins with 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. Recently, when she types a "1" it outputs as /, a "2" will give her 1, a "3" will giver her 2, a "4" will give her 3, etc. None of the other rows of keys on the keyboard have this problem.

Let me just begin by saying that I have already tried going into "Regional Settings, etc." but simply can not find the right layout to match my girlfriend's keyboard. All of the layouts I have tried have the number "1" as the second key on the top row, and not the first.

Can anyone help me solve this problem?

The number 1 is the second key on the top row. The first key is the tilde key. ~

Nope, not on her keyboard.
I can assure you that on her keyboard "1" is the first key. That is why I am having trouble finding the proper layout.

What model is this keyboard?

Where is her tilde key then?

If there is not a tilde key... then maybe a driver or something else entirely, however strange. You might be on the right track with the regional settings as well...
