Question Not to sure about this ram please help!!!
Hey, i want to upgrade the ram in my pc. I was looking at crucial for the type that i needed and i found it at newegg but the only thing is. Is that on crucial it says DIMM and newegg says SDRAMso i just wanted to make sure they are the same before i spent money on the wrong memory.

Here are the links to the memory:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146571

PC Specs:
Gateway GT5026E
300W PSU
2.8 GHZ
1GB RAM (hence the need for upgrade)
250 GB HD

Both terms apply to both,so it is fine.
SDRAM=Synchronous dynamic random access memory

DIMM Dual inline memory modules,has chips on both sides
of the board.

This is what crucial shows from search using the model number from newegg.

Probably only difference is retail package versus in house sale package.

It's the same speed but it most likley is not the same ram as the model number would be the same.
