Help! Monitor won't turn on!
Hello all,

a few days ago i came back home and noticed my Gateway monitor was blank, but the little power button light was blue (on) even though my computer was on. Pressing the button did nothing. Restarting the computer did nothing. I could not get my monitor to work. I then re-connected the power plug. Presto! it worked. The monitor worked fine like nothing happened.... untill today when i woke up and again, blank screen. Re-connecting doesn't work anymore!

What is the problem with my monitor and how do i fix it!? Remember, for some reason the power button on the monitor is on all the time (even when i press it). Pressing the other buttons on the monitor do nothing (menu, settings, etc). Please help!

Not an expert at this, but it sounds like she's dead. R.I.P. monitor

To confirm this, try using your monitor with another PC and also using another monitor with your PC to rule out a graphics card problem.

Have you tried another monitor on the system to be sure it is in fact a problem with the monitor?

If it is a problem with the monitor, then buy a new one. They are so cheap now, it makes no sense at all to even attempt to have an old one repaired.

yep, it looks like the monitor doesn't work on another computer too. I'm too lazy and broke to go buy a new one...
