Question Dell Vostro 1700 HELP PLEASE
I got a Dell Vostro 1700 today from a buddy he sold cheap cause he did not want to put the effort into find the password that nobody seems to know... okay ill walk you through how it happens.

1. Turn on Power
2. Dell loading screen
3. Screens that says (will type whole Screen)

Dell Inc.
www. Dell.com
This computer system, #714CCG1-595B, is protected by a password authentication system. You cannot access the data on this computer without the correct password.
Please type in the system or administrator password and press <Enter>.

That is where im stuck... if you happen to know the way to either terminate the password or how to get the password from Dell... Please Reply ASAP

Thanks.

It's about impossible without spending a great deal of money to bypass a password on a laptop. TSG rules prevent helping with bypassing passwords. As soon as a mod see's this thread they will close it.

Please understand this as it is by no means cast asperions toward you. While your intentions are probably most honorable, we can not be sure of that. There are people who have stolen computers or are trying to gain access to computers that are password protected for dishonorable purposes. Therefore it is against TSG rules to provide help for anybody to bypass, or disable passwords.
