No picture with newly inserted video card
I recently bought a new video card (ATI Radeon 3650 HD Pro [AGP Type]) for my computer, and I plugged it in, i'm pretty sure I have everything in nice and snug and even plugged in the power supply, but I'm not getting a picture, just the yellow light that suggest that there is no connection to the monitor. I tried searching for the answer but I havent found anything, anyone know the cause or a solution to this?

I did read that it could have something to do with bios (what ever that means)

Take it out and plug it in again, paying very careful attention to how it seats.

..and i'm talking about everything is snapping into place, and the 4 pin plug is in, connected correctly and everything... so i'm still with a blacked out screen.

Yeah, its AGP, the last three cards I had in there was AGP as well. I don't have the previous card on me (already return), but the one that I had in May, was plugged in, and the monitor display did come on, so the ports still good.

Before you return the card i would contact ati support.Do you have a mother board manuel? if so from the manuel you can find your bios settings.Set to best known config or default.

If the Video ws working before with an AGP Card and you do not even get a post screen with the new card, it is possible that even if new and previously unused the new card is not working I would say it is most likely a bad video card. Please post your system specs, To include Make and model System if Big Box, or same info for the following it custom or home built, Mother Board, Processor, Ram, Video Card, Hdd(s), Optical Drive(s), Power Supply Manufacturer Model, Wattage and Amperage on the +12V Rails, OS, and any other peripherals installed on the motherboard.

Hm.. sounds like a good idea, but unfortunately I don't have the slightest idea on what to do when it comes to motherboards, bios and finding the manual to them, is that something that normally comes with computers?

I reckon I could try getting my hands on a different card, but I can't think of another place locally that sells AGP type cards.

Hi, still dealing with this same problem. There is one thing I have noticed, the cards I used before was labeled a 270 watt, and this current one that I still have is a 300, I was wondering if that might be the reason why i'm still getting screen blackout... any thoughts?
