Solved: MCE BSOD BIOS Related
I have an Everex Impact GA3400 (which god forgive me had I know how faulty Everex PCs are I wouldn't have).

I'm running on a FIC K8MC51G-LF Mobo.

I recently had a NTLDR crash error after a sudden power outage. Unable to connect to the web to even learn how to attempt repairs I opted to reinstall my windows. This went fine. I ran though and finished my updates, downloaded my newest video drivers from nVidia, my AC'97 sound drivers from Realtek and began installing my programs again.

Then I get hit with the Machine_Check_Exception BSOD.

I encountered this problem in the past after upgrading my RAM from my initial 512MB to my current 2GB. At that time I was able to get my system running smoothly by downloading updated BIOS and Chipset drivers for my mobo. But, in all my infinite wisdom I did not think to copy these drivers to a storage device.

Now, I was under the assumption (given what knowledge I have about PCs) that bios doesn't normally need to be "re" updated. But none the less I felt attempting an update wouldn't do any harm at this point. Sadly, I can't seem to locate the drivers I need on the web. Everex has shut down its USA site and my BIOS manufacturer Phoenix Technologies only tells me to visit the mobo's site for my updates, which also has a case of the 404's. I can't make heads or tails of this packardbell support site that seems to cover my system so I don't know if they even offer what I need. This PC was bought second hand (what can I say, I'm poor) and is most definitely beyond warranty.

Does anyone know of another place I can find the drivers I need?

Use this site to update the motherboard drivers.
You will need to install the activex control for auto.
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scann...spx?lang=en-us
If you already updated the bios, you don't need to do it again.
Your motherboard uses an nforce 4 chipset from nvidia.

OMG thank you. That was the problem. I'll add those drivers to my archive backups.
