Hello fellow computer enthusiasts!
I'm currently in the process of helping my neighbour with a sound problem on his Tiny desktop. I'm not in front of the machine at the moment so here are some specs I made earlier, using good ol' dxdiag:

---------------------
The driver and codecs are all appearing as installed and enabled in Device Manager.
There was a WMM Audio Compatibility Driver listed with a yellow exclamation mark as I started to try and fix the problem; unfortunately I carelessly uninstalled it before hunting round the internet for the .exe that would allow me to reinstall it, so that's basically gone altogether now. After a bit of a look-round I managed to establish that this compatibility driver is related in some way to the wdmaudio.inf file, so I found it in C:\WINDOWS\inf and installed, however it made no difference.
As it stands at the moment, there is no sound coming out of the machine (including during the DXDiag sound test) and no volume icon in the systray.
Would appreciate any suggestions and if you need me to get more information I'll happily do so.
Thanks guys!
