5.1 surround sound card
I m using DELL inspiron 6400 Laptop, with Sigmatel HD audio card installed in it, containing two 3.5mm jacks- one for external stereo speaker system and other for microphone/line in.

Help me determining that Can I buy and connect 5.1 channel home theater system to it and enjoy surround sound, or I need a new sound card.

Also suggest a good quality card if I need it.

If you have the money - this Logitech system has had many good reviews and you can pick it up for a good 40% less if you shop around
