Exclamation Synaptics Point Device Acting Up (HELP!!)
Alright. Well, today I was using my laptop, an ACER, Windows Vista. It's been working GREAT up until today. I was using it and watching anime with my friend. Suddenly, the mouse wouldn't move. Then it started moving up and down erratically. I could move it VERY little, but only control it going up and down. I couldn't move it side to side. When I tried, it'd move VERRRRYYY slightly. Hardly move at all. Even when I wasn't touching the pad it was moving.

The only way I could get it to STOP moving, was if I had my finger on the pad, or was holding down the little scroll button in between the two larger buttons. I managed to snag a mouse from one of my other computers. While holding down the thingy in the middle on the scroll pad, I disabeled the touch pad. Everything works fine now with the mouse. I DID infact restart my computer SEVERAL times. No luck.

I don't know if this would have anything to do with it, but last night I cleaned my computer with one of those air cans. Could this have anything to do with it? What should I do about this problem? Suggestions? Solutions? I'd much rather fix it at home if poissible, for it is rather expensive to send a computer in to get fixed ya know? :/
