This spins my head...
A colleague called me this morning with a strange problem:

His little boy played on the computer, did something unknown, and since then his computer starts up, but the screen and keyboard are dead.

Apparently this is the second time this has happened.

The bit about the keyboard is what sets me spinning.

Can anybody give some help here?

Apparently, the computer starts up fine, all working, then while booting up the screen goes blank and the keyboard lights go off and it does not respond anymore.

It it was indeed the little boy I would assume he's initiated a bizarre sleep mode by pressing an unlikely key combination.

But it may also be a driver bug.

Can you start in safe mode?
