laptop screen hates me
I recently had a problem with my Dell Inspiron 1405 notebook where everytime I turned it on, the backlight on the monitor would stay on for only a few seconds, and then turn off.

After doing some research, including a thread here I concluded that it was most likely either the inverter board or the backlight itself that needed to be replaced. Being the less complicated fix, I chose to replace the inverter board first. The one that I took out was a part no. IV12139/T, the one I put in is part no. U401008T01 .

It worked great for about two days. Now, it still technically works, but the bottom right corner of the screen gets extremely hot--too hot to touch--and a "dead" spot in that corner grows as it gets hotter, and returns to normal if i turn it off and let it cool down.
