no display when monitor plugged in
This is a new build with some old parts:
Aopen AX4GE MAX mobo,
P4 3.06ghz hyper-thread,
2gigs ram,
Enermax EG301P-VE psu,
HIS Radeon HD 3650 graphics,
Seagate SATA 750gig drive.

The issue is a really strange one. If I turn on the computer with the monitor connected then it will not POST - no beeps, no display, no splash screen.

If I start the computer with the monitor cable unplugged from the graphics card and then plug it in a few seconds later, the computer POSTs and runs fine....

I have the on-board graphics disabled.

Any ideas?

Thanks
