Radeon 4870 1mb
I dont seem to be getting the best out of this card . I wouldnt say so far that its performing any better than my old 1950xtpro . Could be me just expecting too much . How can i boost it . The normal OC on it causes a big temp jump

First of all, list your exact system specs; ie make and model of mb, brand and wattage of pw supply, brand and speed of ram, etc, etc, etc.

Just a thought however did you fully uninstall the driver for the old card before attempting to install the new card/driver?

Other than that, I do not see any issues with your hardware.

Not all 4870s are the same. You are not going to get the same performance from say a powercolor card as you would from something like a HIS card or a XFX card.

True.... but a even something like a 4670 will run circles around a 1950XT

The CPU isn't slow...

so something else/off is making the computer slow.

Hopefully he will post how he went about uninstalling and installing the driver for the card.
