Acer Aspire One Problem with Audio: Crash
Guys,

Whenever I start playing an audio file on my Acer Aspire One laptop (OS Windows XP SP3, Atom 1,6 with 1gb ram), it starts to skip and glitch on the sound.

And sometimes, it will even crash (Blue Screen) when it's playing something, and I have to reboot.

I can't figure out what's happening.

I tried to update the bios drivers, the soundcard drivers. I verified the system with chkdsk and others utilities to repair possible errors in system, but I cannot resolve the problem.

I reinstalled the Windows Media Player, XP Codec Pack, Realplayer, and the problem persists.

So, anyone know how I can fix this?

you have updated the drivers using the manufacturers website - correct

have you tried playing the music files in other devices - ie Itunes, real player etc ....
is it all players or just windows media player

I had this problem (still have ) with video files MP4 - they play fine in quicktime - but dont play in realplayer - jerky and jumpy...
