Solved: Is 1066mhz ram compatible
I have a computer that came with (2x1)gb 800mhz ddr2 ram. I want to know if this mother board will support (2x2)gb 1066mhz ram. The mother board i have is an Asus M2N68-LA. I bought a compaq presario case with just the motherboard in it from a friend so I don't know if it is the original or not. I have still made do with this computer but I don't know anything about this motherboard.

This motherboard does not support 1066MHz RAM and also the CPU you are running may not as well. It isnt worth putting 1066MHz ram in as it will only run at 800MHz
The motherboard does support 4GB or RAM for 32 bit operating systems
and 8GB for 64 Bit operating systems.

also if you decide to upgrade your CPU make sure it isn't over 89 watts as the mobo wont support it.

The motherboard you are referring to is different from the one I have. Mine only supports 4 gb and looks different. The one you are talking about is newer.

I am not sure then sorry But if it is an older one then it most likely wouldn't support 1066MHz if the new one doesn't.
