Solved: Printer will not print
I have an Epson DX4750 Printer. It has quite suddenly stopped printing. It goes through the motions, but the page comes out blank, even the test page. All cables have been checked. The computer tells me printer is on-line and ready. I have tried different documents, and shutting down printer and computer. Inks are OK. Everything looks normal, behaves normally, but the sheet comes out blank. I am baffled. Any ideas? Allan.

Try re-installing the drivers for the printer.

I think that this problem is being caused by defective hardware components in the printer. You might need to send the printer to a repair facility or replace the printer with a new one. Refer to this article for more information: http://www.applefritter.com/node/17681

Had the printer sat unused for any length of time prior to this? Inkjet printers have a reputation for clogging when left alone for some time.

I've also read about ink delivery tubes becoming disconnected or a pump going bad.

You could also run the utility that you install with the printer that allows you to clean the heads of the ink jets and run other maintenance.

Printer will not print
Thank you all. I never thought of blocked nozzles as the problem occurred so suddenly: From perfect prints to no print at all, instead of the usual lines appearing. However, I did nozzle cleaning and the problem was immediately solved. Perhaps the fault of cheap inks? Anyway it is all singing and dancing once again. Thanks. Allan.
