Headphones hardware issue with ventrilo
Hi, I'm new to these forums, but it seems like a good place to go for my problem.

Basically, since I got my new headphones (Plantronics Gamecon 367) I've had this very frustrating problem with it and ventrilo.

When I'm on vent, it works fine, but often, it will just stop, and my pc will no longer recognise that my sound/mic are connected and the only way to fix it is to unplug/replug them in and even that doesn't work half the time. Very frustrating for games.

When I see it, ventrilo says (this may not be exact, but it's basically the same thing) "Sound input has been closed from these channels. You may need to update your sound card or it may be a hardware conflict."

My first port of call was to check if my sound card was up to date and according to windows, it is. But just for reference, it says my sound card is 'Intel High Definition Audio Device', not sure if this is on board or not.

Not sure what to do if it's a hardware conflict, and how do I know if it is?

I can't seem to find any similair problems on the internet. Can anyone help?

Just to double-check, are your new headphones USB or standard 3.5" plug?

Sorry forgot to mention that, yes it's the 3.5 cable model.
