[Tempest61]

I am using a Dell Inspiron Desktop 531. OS - Windows Vista Home Premium SP 1. The PC freezes up constantly when using MS Office (Word).

Two nights ago it froze but we were able to reboot and it started to work again.
Later on that night it shut down completely. WE left if for a while then rebooted. it did not boot up entierly but gave the following message :"USB device over-current detected" PC will shut down in 15 secs. It did shut down


We left it like that overnight and then tried to reboot in the morning. The following message came up:"Alert! Previous attempts at booting this system have failed at checkpoint [7FH].

Since then I have been unable t use the PC.
