Laptop Monitor Casing
Help! I have a Dell laptop and the top half (monitor casing) is broke at the hinge. I can no longer close it. Any suggestions on how I can fix or jury rig it to open and close. Do not want to send it to Dell since its out of warranty and five years old but works great. Is this something a computer repair shop can deal with without sending it out? Thanks for any ideas.

It is certainly worth contacting a local mom/pop shop and see what they have to say.
I specify them because I am sure they would be more accomodating than the geek squad....
