Exclamation Futura Monitor Problems
Alright, so I just hooked this monitor up (got it for free from a friend) and I went to adjust all the settings to get the stretching on the screen perfect BUT when I try to stretch it up and down it goes a certain distance and then stops.

It looks like it is Wide-Screen mode and i'm not liking it at all. I am wondering if there is any way to get it to force stretch to get it to fit the whole screen?

I have looked through all my settings and couldn't find anything about wide-screen.

If there is any information you need, let me know and also if it's a little advanced on how to get that info. please post that too...

Thanks!

Whats the model of the screen you have? It should be marked on the front or a sticker on the back.

Here is the model number of the monitor.

Model #: L501AGD
Product #: LD5

I looked it up with the model number but couldnt find anything, I also searched with the product number and found the monitor which is actually called on the internet "Likom LD5."

Also, my video card (if it has anything to do with it also) is:

Name: ATI Radeon 9600/9550/X1050 Series (256MB)
Current Display Mode: 1024 x 768 (32 bit) (60Hz)

Here is a picture I drew on photoshop of what it looks like. (Imagine it being the monitor your looking at and you see the black and everything)

Well you seem to have the right resolution and refresh rate set.

Are you adjusting the size with the controls on the monitor on the settings in the video driver?

What does the screen look like at 800x600?

EDIT: I have come to a conclusion. I have took my brothers monitor to test it out and it is normal. So, I come to answer myself that the monitor I was using is broken or out-of-date or something.

-------------------------

I have also tried putting it in 800x600 also and still same results; widescreen effect.

I have tried opening up ATI Catalyst Control Center (Video Driver) and looked around in there for it and couldn't find a thing.

On the monitor when I try to stretch it any farther, it just flashes (meaning that's the farthest it goes) at me.

Here's my video settings.

It could indeed just simply be a faulty monitor.
