Sony Bravia to Windows Vista Help
Ok, so I bought a Sony Bravia hoping it'd be so easy to hook it up to my computer, which is a HP running Windows Vista Basic.

I hooked them together using a HDMI to DVI Cord and absoutely nothing happens. It's like it's not even there. My computer doesn't say anything, my T.V. says no HDMI devices detected.

Can someone please help me?

Usually you would have to hit some kind of command to bring your laptop's display to the HDTV. If you right click the desktop and go into the Nvidia control panel properties there should be a setting to setup an external display device. Do a little looking around, you will get it.

I talked to a Sony Rep, and he told me I should just use the VGA hook up and such, so I'm going to do that.

I'm just so frustrated, so many things going on, money coming and going, my surround system won't work either.

Hopefully I'll catch a break with a VGA hookup.
