Next logical upgrade for me?
Hey Guys (Again!),

Just finished my last recent round of upgrades for my computer, am now at a dead end in terms of what I can do to further upgrade it?

Specs:
  • Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD3P AMD 790X (Socket AM3AM2+, DDR2)
  • AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz
  • 4Gig 677Mhz DDR2 RAM
  • Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB GDDR5
  • Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
  • Coolermaster HAF 922 Case - Black
  • Corsair TX 650W ATX SLi Compliant Power Supply
  • Windows XP 32-Bit
Don't think I've missed anything there... But obviously now I'm thinking the only things I can really upgrade is the RAM and the OS, which obviously need updating at the same time xD

The Mobo, CPU, GPU, PSU, HDD and case are all new purchases so not something I'd want to replace too soon, are there other elements that would be worth my consideration? I run a 5.1 surround sound system as well so I was considering a sound card, or perhaps for my gaming a PPU?

Lastly, asked prior but it seems to me the best keyboard out there from reviews tend to be Razrs, but I'm a left handed mouse user So anyone know any symmetrical (or even rarer, left handed) mice?

In UK, so UK shops/prices preferred although I can hunt for them myself, is more the product I'm interested in Probably have around £200 to update my system, next I get a chance.

Thanks,

Chris

(PS, sorry to be such a pain, it's just I really feel like when I ask here I always get the best bang for my buck xD)

Well going to a 64 bit version of Windows 7 might be the next step.

With a 32 bit version of Windows XP you are not taking the full advantage of 4GB of RAM already so adding more RAM will be completely wasted.

Also with Windows 7 you'll get Directx 10,10.1, and 11 so if you have any new games or intend to buy new games you'll get some improved image quality and features that way as well.

As for the sound card, a Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer or better card would also improve your general sound quality and effects in games over the onboard sound.
