Unable to boot
Hi,

My PC first just worked fine, i shut it down normaly and the next day it wouldnt start up. The PC is quite old, like 3 years but it just worked normaly. It had a version of XP on it but i dont think that it is necessary to know that... I already tried a new video cart.... The problem is:
It boots up, no screen, only red and green light on, and red is HD thingie and green is power. And i can hear everything working.... just no screen.

I hope i gave you enough info!

Thanks for any responses on it. And sorry for my bad english...

Greetings,

Greacius

Can you try with another monitor ?

Tap the DEL key when booting - see if you can get the bios screen up.
Or tap F8 to get XP boot menu .

Cool Access with different Graphics card?
Could you see the Bios screen with the new graphics card installed, also i imagine that its AGP but if not is it PCI-E?

Sounds like the power supply(although you said you tried another ?) or the motherboard.

But you need to strip the machine down and swap out components till you find the badguy.

Try RESEATING (uninstalling and installing ALL of the hardware attached to the motherboard), this sometimes will fix problems. (It's worth a shot!)

I've seen this fix more than one computer problem like this!

ERR (This does not mean the cooler fan to the processor or the processor sorry)
