Question ASUS A7N8X-X Memory Problem
Hello everyone,

I have an ASUS A7N8X-X with just 1GB of RAM in it (2 x 512mb PC3200). When I have tried to upgrade to 3GB which the asus website says is possible the computer doesn't boot. If I put a 1GB stick into 1 of the slots it doesn't notice that it is there. Any Ideas? I have tried different sticks of memory as this was being attempted at a computer repair and upgrade shop.

Any ideas would be great,

Thanking in advance

have you tried www.crucial.com and do a scan - this will tell you the type of memory, max size and how to configure

well this is the problem I am having trouble working out. On the Crucial website it says that you can have up to 3GB DDR400 RAM but then also says that I can only have 512mb RAM per slot. I only have 3 slots so that make 1.5GB. I have heard of people running with 3GB of RAM and I dont know how to do it.
