Unlocking DVD driver
Hi There,
My dvd driver has locked to region 2 and I want to unlock it. It tells me I've changed regions as many times as I'm allowed and now only the manufacturer can unlock it. Anybody have any ideas how to get it unlocked please?
BTW, it's a Toshiba SN-S082D, if that's any help.
Thanks
Sue

The is an interesting problem. Region codes are a Digital Right Management technique to ensure DVDs purchased in one part of the world cannot be played in another part of the world.

So I am not sure I can tell you how to break it, since after 6155 posts I don't want to get banned here. If you are in the United States I would presumably be breaking the law. But in New Zealand region coding is illegal so I could tell you how to unlock it.

BTW, it isn't a Toshiba SN-S082D. It is Samsung.
