Memory Compatibility Question
I have an Asus P5KPL-VM Motherboard and I would like to know if this motherboard will support DDR2 1066 ram or anyting over DDR2 800. The owner's manual say it will only support DDR2 800, but I have heard people say otherwise. I just need to confirm this.

In something like this I'd go with the manual.

Well yeah, in most cases I would go with the manual but the new bios revision I installed to make my processor work says the motherboard will also now support 1066 ram. And also I have heard of countless people installing 1066 ram with this motherboard and being successful. I guess I am just looking for another person that was successful with this.

This is from Asus support site.
Asus first released a Bios update (0303) to add support for DDR2 1066MHz ram 2009-04-09. Every Bios since then supports it.
