Solved: Spilled tea over netbook
Hey everyone, Im using notepad to write this message because if i write in Firefox and every space i click the text moved to address to continue typing this, I suspect that TAB button is wonky. Anyway could you tell me advice on how to dealt with wonky keyboard as i dont want to kill my laptop.

Im considering of taking to duck farm computer shop or PC World to have a look as it keep me stressing as yesterday i needed to hire a taxi and need to typetalk to taxi and my keyboard gones wonky and taxi is waiting for me to speak and i explained to operator and they hang up cos they think im drunk. So i had to speak to resturant nicely to book me a taxi and they provided me a taxi.

Any chance of software that i could see where the button is pressed so i know the error and will try to disable the button? I havent used TAB rarely.

Im not sure if the tea is gone throught the motherboard. But the tea is just splash and also contain sweetner as i asked keyboard expert Donna to help me.

If I understand your question correctly when you type something into firefox the spacebar is acting as the tab key however when you type in notepad everything is fine? If that is the case then it sounds like it is more of a software problem then hardware, be sure to go into the control panel and go to language options and make sure you havent set any weird key combos by mistake. Also go into firefox and do the same. If it is hardware released I would suggest having the keyboard replaced as long as the tea did not damage the mobo

Another option if you are mechanically inclined (and are sure it is the keyboard) is to remove the keyboard and clean it... or replace it.

When my son was sick and threw up on his laptop (sorry for that), I found a service manual on the Gateway site that described how to take the laptop apart. I cleaned up the keyboard and motherboard using alcohol and let it dry for a week, after which it still works.
