wi-fi canon printer not being detected on network
Hello
A new pixma MP640 printer is working fine when connected via USB
but i cannot get it to work on my home wireless network which has a netgear router and HP laptop with windows vista home premium
Please help anyone

does the router see the printer in the summary page something like DHCP status page ?
exact model of the netgear.

Hi On the printer console using easy setting the printer sees my network name and then i enter my password on the console to which is says OK
But as i say when i then go to the computer to add new printer its not found
The netgear is a wireless G router WRG614

There are various version of that router V7, V9 manuals I have
have a look at Viewing a List of Attached Devices

theres an attached devices on the menu

Next I would take the wireless secruity off completely
and try it out like that first
