Error code 2000-0146 internal hdd read failure
Hello,

I am having Dell XPS M1330, Operating System- Windows Vista. Don't know how my laptop is not able to boot, whenever i start it shows BIOS written under it and Dell logo appears and everything goes blank and error code 2000-0146 internal hdd read failure appears.

I don't know what is happening how this problem come into my laptop and what i will do as i am having very important data store in it.

Please help me in fixing the problem or either let me know the way how i can recover my data atleast.

Your hard drive has died, I hope you made backups.
If the machine is still under warranty Dell will send a replacement.
You may be able to hook up the drive as a slave in another machine and access the data but it can be hit and miss, there is third party software that can locate data from failed drives but it does depend on how bad the drive is.
The only other way is to send the drive to a lab that specialises in data recovery, but it can be expensive

I didn't made any back up thats why i am in great trouble as the stored data is very important for me. Isn't it any other way i can access to my data atleast without spending much money.

or can you suggest me the places where i can ask for data recovery. My laptop is in warranty and was working fine so how all of a sudden this error comes.
