looking at the first error , Bios or disk error

have a read here http://www.asklaptopfreak.com/laptop...-when-booting/

have a look in the bios and see what is recognised ? as it boots you should see an option to enter bios / setup - F2 or Del Key
Have a look at the boot order - see what is booted after the harddrive - if its a network device
can it see the Harddrive and the DVD/CD if fitted drive

Post exact model of the failing laptop

when you do get it to work - whats the status of the harddrive / DVD/Cd

you could on the good laptop
Download ubuntu www.ubuntu.com download the ISO - right click on the ISO and Burn to a CD
Now boot that CD and run from the CD (DO not installl on windows) and see if that software can see your harddrive

You can also go to http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/t...t/jsp/home.jsp and click on downloads, this will prompt a dropdown screen that will ask if it is a laptop, ect..., then will ask for your family "satellite, sataellite pro ect...., then model #. This will take you to a download page where you should be able to download the Toshiba Bios Launcher. Download this and run it and it will set Bios back to the original settings from when it was new.
