multiple drivers
HI,

I have been facing this problem for a long time now...

My PC is currently working fine with a single drive connected to it which is an 80GB HD, but whenever I try connecting more than 1 driver it gives me problems. So I have disconnected the floppy drive as well as the DVD drive. The 80GB HD is the only thing connected. I tried connecting a 160GB HD which I just purchased, but it gave me a disk read error & after trying for hours the computer finally started up without detecting the 160GB HD. And when I try connecting the DVD drive it just doesn't work or the PC doesn't start up giving a disk read error again. I have already had to replace the DVD drive & the HD once due to the same problem, so the ones that I have got right now are new & I am sure there is nothing wrong with any of these. I have also attached the recent minidump file when I tried connecting the DVD drive...Please help!! Thanks in advance!!

more detail
Make and model of the PC
Motherboard info would be useful to

Clarify
1) Harddrive connected to machine 80GBs works
if you connect a
2) floppy drive or
3) DVD Drive or
4) another Harddrive (160GB) it does not detect them
detect means within the BIOS

correct?
If not please be as specific as possible - also do not write everything in one paragraph
