Exclamation Solved: Problems wih my CD drive
I am having problems with a CD drive of mine.
It is a HP Pavilion dv6500 Notebook PC 2006
It operates on Windows Vista Home Premium
The exact description of the problem:
It will not open by the button.
It hs no blue light on.
It does not allow me to do anything with the disc inside it.
Sometimes it does work. When it does, the light is on, it opens by the button and I can interact with the disk i any way i wish.
I have tried: restarting the laptop many times
I have used a paper clip to press that little buton inside the small button and it ejcted but it did not open by the button after that.
How do I make it work ALL THE TIME?
-Thank you for your support.

If it's not recognized, doesn't spin up, and won't eject, that's a hardware problem. The drive probably needs to be replaced.

The problem is hardware related. It works for a while, and then it doesn't.
