Post 2 cpu's ? with a twist
okay, here's the story:

since i got this pc like 2 years ago, it has been showing "2 cpu's" in dxdiag
and it also says the same in windows hardware management, in the tab "processors"
it shows the same thing twice. (AMD athlon 64 X2 Dual core)
another program, cpu-z says 2 cores 2 threads, but nothing about the amount.

and, now i was wondering if i really have 2 cpu's or not
i have noticed that my cpu can run alot of games at its max ability (60 fps)
even fallout 3 and such.

In a dual core processor each core handles incoming data strings simultaneously to improve efficiency. Just as two heads are better than one, so are two hands. More explanation here...http://www.amd.com/us/products/deskt...uct-brief.aspx

Yes, this means that the processor has two cores fused as one. Unlike the old prcocessors where in it only has one core that handles all the process. But with the dual core, it ease the job of the processor since two cores are working together to for processing data.
