hi i got a 5.1 audio device which give front rear and centre/bass output from ebay

one of the £10 ones
it is compatible for xp and vista
i have windows 7 so the vista driver should be fine

when i plugged it in, windows installed its own useless driver, then i had to run the vista setup driver
however its keeps saying plug in the device when it is, i have tried running as administrator
i have tried to update the sound card driver from device manager, but when i select the .inf file, it says there is no driver selected..
i have tried restoring the computer and trying again, but that doesnt work...

please help
