Video or mobo problem, can anyone help?
A friend of mine has a desktop that's currently running 2gb ram, nVidia 8800 gtx, and I believe the motherboard is nVidia nforce 4.

The problem he is having is that every time his computer loses power, due to actual shutdown, unplug or power outage, when the system is turned back on there is no video. It also seems that the system does not actually continue startup normally as where when working correctly, he has a disconnected floppy drive that makes him f1 very early in startup and I have waited, f1'd at the correct time but the computer does not appear to make any action to load windows.

This has happened several times before and it was until this point solved by switching pci-e slots, switching the monitor plug-in port and generally just tinkering.

I'm thinking it's a motherboard problem as the graphics card has essentially been in it's slot the whole time he has owned the pc (about 2 years) and the computer has never to my knowing been dropped or damaged.

Any input is appreciated! Thanks.

Edit: All drivers are up to date, my back-lit keyboard does have all lights when the system is turned on
