Computer stuck in restart loop
Ok this is what happends, turn on computer it gets right past bios nd says system restore or start regularly. now if i click 1 or just stay at the screen the computer just turns off. I try turning it on again nd it gets halfway through bios, then a quarter through, than just a second of black screen. If i wait a half hour then it starts all over first bios then half ect....Now i have taken apart my computer and noticed that the cpu had not fully been covered by thermal paste from the manufacturer. is it worth trying to buy Artic silver thermal paste and apply it. I know how to do so but im making shure the chip isnt shot or if its my power supply( it restars with battery battery with charger or just charger). So could it be due to cpu overheating? I have switched the ram/ hdd to make shure its not a virus. ok here is the pics. ( not the best quality) If u cnt see there is 1/3 of the cpu is covered.

It does not seem like a overheating issue to me. Did the computer work normal before?

You don't cover the entire cpu, only the part that contacts the heatsink, looks like there is too much to me.

Follow these instructions for applying thermal compound from Arctic Siver
