Geeksquad will not do a hack job on your computer. I wouldn't do it for my best customers. The hack job is just something that'll work... in which you have a normal size PC power supply sitting outside your case with wires running to the motherboard.. its only 2 cables. Why pay some guy $50 to do something that takes about a minute or two to do.

Really easy, follow every wire bundle out of the PSU on the Acer to each device it plugs into (drives, motherboard), and plug the same compatible one from the new PSU. There should be a total of 4 power leads you'll be unhooking. 1 per drive (2 drives) and two for the motherboard... a 24pin BIG one near the front (maybe under the CD-ROM drive) and a 4 pin near the CPU which I can even see from the photo. Do all of this with the computer's power cord unplugged from the wall!

Quote:
Ok uhm if I bought a psu would it add power to what mine already has. Or would it just override it, and use the power from the psu I bought.
The old PSU will not be used at all.

I already gave you links to the 5570 cards, it must be a Low profile to fit your case bracket. You'd be running the computer without its cover with its guts exposed... like in the photo above. Takes about 15 seconds to plug it in.

The 5570 is the best you'll get to fit your computer at $85 : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102875 (There used to be a 9800GT for Low profile)

Another option is to gut the ACER and stick it into a mini-tower case... but I don't know if the ACER has standard mounting holes or proprietary. If not standard, SOL.

Doing the hack job will total about $135 if parts are ordered above. Bestbuy will gladly sell you a junky PSU for $80~90.

And if you decide to build a regular mini-tower desktop computer, the PSU and graphics card will fit a normal case and the ACER can be back to normal.

5570 review: http://gizmodo.com/5467822/ati-radeo...+%28Gizmodo%29

GTA IV on the 5770:

No videos on a 5570, but here is a 4670 which has the same performance:

You know what, the game was $20, and the price I Must pay if I want it to run correctly is $200+. I may not even be able to run the game right with my computer at all. I've got to many things im having to purchase soon. I have to take a driving course in order to get my license at 16. Then I have to get my car. I'm buying a snowboard, and alot of other stuff I can't afford. I'm going to buy what I can so that I can get it all. Not wasteing mine, or anyone elses time with it. Imma go sell it for 5 bucks.

No need to curse about it. GTA IV has high requirements due to BAD programming porting from the Xbox/PS3. Considering that the graphics chip on the 5570 is easily more powerful than the PS3's GPUs is just plain said.

Yes, its nuts.. and I'd recommend playing this game on a PS3 as it would be simpler.

Your computer was never built to be a gaming system, simple as that. There are ways to get around, but nothing cheap.
There are people who spend $1000~3000 to put together a gaming system, I'm not one of them.

I'd offer you $2 for the game
