Angry Volume touch bar button HP6530b laptop
Can someone PLEASE help me disable the touch bar on the HP 6530b laptop? The volume button is causing issues so I would just like to disable the whole thing at this point.

It seems that the volume is "possessed" and keeps trying to go to Max volume. There is a scroll bar to increase and decrease volume on the touch bar area. With this issue you can lower the volume using the touch scroll or even the manual task bar tray icon but the volume continues to return to full volume soon as you release it. I have tried unsuccessfully to find a way to disable the touch bar completely.

if you take the battery out of the laptop there are usually 3 screws that hold the volume/button bar. Unscrew them take the plastics off and disconnect the bar. If you don't feel comfortable opening your laptop up to do this. I do laptop repairs in birmingham and quite often have to crack open laptops.

as the volume slider is physical it can not be stopped via a software control or reg edit. This is your only choice. Try youtube for a guide on how to dissemble.
