Unhappy Acer screen brightness function key not working
I have an Acer Aspire 1810TZ running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. There are function key combos to adjust the screen brightness (Fn-right and left arrow). This function seems to stop working after I hibernate and un-hibernate the computer. Other function key combos, such as volume adjustment, still work fine. And adjusting the screen brightness via the power control panel still works. Restarting Windows restores the brightness adjustment key function until I hibernate and un-hibernate again.

An annoying glitch in an otherwise great machine.

Try toggeling auto-adjust and trying again. Might not solve the hibernate thing, but may prevent a full reboot.
