Flash drive is not recogniozed by computer
First of all I have three other flash drives (sanDisk and Sony), never had problem with it. I have Medion 8 GB USB Flash Drive, this one is a big problem . I am using Dell Windows 7 64 bit PC. Everything was ok until today. I downloaded movie(I have about 8 movies in there), and checked flash drive with Norton Antivirus, just to make sure there are no viruses. I had no viruses. however, All of the sudden, flash drive stopped responding. it flashes, but I cannot open it. My computer doesn’t even shows it. it is like computer doesn’t recognize flash drive or cannot read it. Could be flash drive broken?

I hear clicking sound, like computer is trying to open it, and nothing is happening. Please help!!!!
PLEASE NOTE I USED MY OTHER FLASH DRIVES, AND THEY WORK JUST FINE. I checked My computer and Disk management , the computer cannot find this removable storage, but it clearly shows my other flash drives. Can the data be resurrected from Medion Flash Drive? How? Please help.
Do you think that plugging flash drive into usb port, and then rebooting computer while flash drive is in might cure the problem?

You can try rebooting if you want--it certainly won't do any harm. Also you could try the flash in another computer. However you're probably looking at either a driver issue or a hardware problem. Go to Device Manager and see whether the flash appears there.

UFlash drive is dead , than.
Hi again!
No flash drive doesn't appear in Disk manager or Device manager. I take it the flash drive is dead. Are there any recoverable software for data?

If it doesn't appear in device manager you probably have a problem with the physical hardware. So no, disk recovery Software won't help. It might be possible to have the flash repaired, but unless the files on it were really important probably won't be worth it.

Flash Drive had some good movies
On that flash drive there was one movie "The Salamander" (1981), which I did see 20 years ago back in my native land on the big screen. I downloaded it from a Russian website, it was 1.56GB, and I transferred it into that Flashdrive/ there were mainly movies, which are so dear to me, and bring so many memories. I can always download them again. However, the download is time consuming, and the speed of the download sometimes is too slow.
I can go to OfficeDepot or the Best Buy and ask them whether they can repair that Medion Flash Drive. I doubt, it looks as if it cannot be opened. Well, next time I will know not to buy any electronics from Aldi store. It was 8GB Flash Drive for $9.99. I am not that reach to buy a cheap stuff that won't last long. They can replace the flash drive, with the same kind of junk. Medion corp. can't repair it only replace it.
