Hard Drive not showing correct amount of free space in properties
New one on me.
Just reformatted my 250GB WD HD and re-installed WIN XP OS 2002 and put service pack 2 on.
Only installed the essentials and a couple extras : MS Office 2007, ASUS drivers, EPSON printer drivers (with Arc Soft Print Creations), MS intellipoint for my wireless Mouse/keyboard, ATI drivers Catalyst Control Center, Firefox, KM Player and iTunes.
In my C drive properties I have 113GB Used and 119GB Free.
Ran a scan with both WinTree and JDisk Report and both show 6.5 GB being used (Windows 2.4GB, Program files 1.1GB, Files in the directory 2GB, and Documents and settings is about 1GB)
I just jumped into system properties and checked "show hidden files and folders" as well as Un-checked "Hide Protected Operating System Files"
Went into my Disk Manager to check on the partition in case I created a new one by accident. I knew I didn't cause I formatted and the C Drive NTFS Is healthy with 232.88GB.
Its a pretty simple setup
AMD 64 FX-62 Dual Core 2.8 GHz
2GB of RAM
ASUS M2A-VM HDMI Motherboard
Nothing in the PCI or AGP slots - all off the MB
I also have a 1TB Western Digital External HD hooked up into the USB with 365GB of files on it.

Any Ideas?
Thanks guys

113 Gb + 119GB = 232 GB, I don't see where the problem is. Are you asking why it isnt showing up as 250Gb? The manufacturers capacity is 250Gb when figure using the Decimal (Base 10) system where one Gb is 1,000,000,000 bytes. But the computer doesn't read it in Base 10, it reads it in Binary where the Gb =1,073,741,824 bytes so when you divide 250,000,000,000 by 1073741824 it equals 232.8306436538696 Gb

No no, Sorry maybe I didn't clarify in my post.
It says 113GB Used
Just reformatted and re-installed Windows 3 days ago with a few other programs
How in the hell could I have used up 113GB already?! I didn't
So FileTree and JDisk Report both say I am using only 6.5GB and that is correct.
It is just in C Drive Properties showing that I have 113GB used.

What I'm getting at is that 113GB have not been occupied
