i have an acer aspire 7736z-4088. I bought it brand new in feb of this yr and it worked fine until one day i went to use it and i got it on and then all of a sudden it shut off and will not come back on. I tried unplugging it from charger, taking battery off and plugging laptop straight to charger with no battery, holding down the power button for however long it says too, bought a new charger and battery. It will not even light up to show that charger is attached. No lights come on at all. Can anyone help?

Sounds like an internal problem with the power input circuitry on the board. My top suspect would be the power jack that's mounted on the motherboard, they're very fragile and frequently get broken. I've personally replaced several of them.

Be very careful trying to power this up if the jack is suspect. If you wiggle it around and get a short, really bad things can happen. Here's an example, this was a Compaq laptop that was brought to me to fix, but I was a little late after the flames.
