Hi.

I have just reinstalled Windows xp Media Center + sp3 on the above pc.
The drivers for more or less everything have not been found by Windows.

Does anyone know where I can download a full set of drivers for this pc.

If not, I will probably have to spend the next few days trying to identify the motherboard or all the different chips.

Thanks for the reply.
I have already tried the Philips site & apparently they do not make pcs. (they are branded Philips for pcworld)

I have since opened the pc & identified the mobo as an ECS 945p-m3 v1.0b
I have downloaded the only drivers they have for this board (ide inf & lan). these sorted out a couple of driver issues including sm bus, but the majority of errors remain. These include the onboard lan?? sound serial + numerous others.

As well as all these, I have to find vid, tv card, & wireless drivers. These I will have to identify by the chipsets as they are un-branded add in cards.

I hate Philips pcs. I have worked on an ls1600 before & struggled to find drivers & to this day the front media panel still does not work due to there being no drivers available.

Any more help from anyone would be appreciated.

Found some drivers on the Techguys site I will try them tomorrow.

Found everything apart from lan, pci device, pci serial port.

Hello Rob

I got a Philips 2700 off the dump with no hard drive. Loaded XP but so many drivers were missing it was not much use. Fitted a second HDD and put Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx on it and it seems to work fine without tweeks. Ubuntu is great for internet use as it boots up fast ( <60 seconds), shuts down fast (<10 seconds) and does not seem to slow down with use. It takes about half an hour to load cold from DVD / CD and half an hour to load updates. Much quicker than XP.
