I have a 22 inch monitor from LG. I cant manage to fill the screen. The most I can get is 17 inches ?? Can anywone explain me how to achieve a full screen?

There is a menu button marked "Fun" where you can choose 4:3 or wide format. You want to choose wide format. Then in your graphics adapter settings on the PC, choose 1920 X 1080 resolution. If your graphics adapter doesn't allow 1920 X 1080 as one of the choices, you may need to (A) update your graphics card driver, (B) install the software that came with the monitor, or (C) replace the graphics card with one that can handle 1920 X 1080 resolution, though this is rarely needed with newer hardware..

Thanks for your help. I had already tried your suggestions but nothing changed. Suddenly I pressed the factory reset and itn worked. I now have a full screen. Thanks so much
