JUNO email problems
When I open JUNO and try to log into my acct, an error window pops up telling me to describe to them what I did before the error window popped up. After closing out of the window, JUNO automatically closes! I've tried rebooting, but the same thing happens again and again. Now I'm not able to retrieve or read my email! I tried logging into other people's accounts thru the same JUNO software on my computer and I am able to access their accounts and emails just fine. So could the problem be with one of the actual emails in my acct?

Rome:2 suggestions;Have you called Juno support for assistance?I have found them to be fairly good, the few times that I have used them.
So,once you are on the internet, thru Juno, can you go to
www.juno.com
and log onto your id to review your email on the Juno server(webmail).Might be interesting to know this when you call Juno support.

thank you....yes, I have considered calling tech support, but it's 2 bucks a minute!! I will use it as a last resort. Do you think re-downloading the software would help?

Rome:Reloading is an option,but probably,in my opinion,a last resort.
I think that you can access Juno support through email support, then just ask them the question.Be very specific,ie.error msg #'s,etc.
Have you tried my second suggestion re.www.juno.com.
I have Juno platinum,$9.95/mo so my config may be different then yours.and I get phone support included.
Also, just a thought, have you tried changing the phone# being dialed to another local# from the connection/access# setup /selection option.
Also, were you always able to log onto your email before now or did this never work.

You need to be a platinum member to access live email support, which I am not. So for any kind of live support I would have to pay. Yes, I was always able to log in before for as long as I can remember. And yes, the problem is with logging in and accessing the acct...and you need to log in before you can even dial a number. Looks like I'm gonna have to do the reload...

by the way, do you know if I do the reload...would I lose all my email that was in the previous software?

Romeon't know for sure, but my guess would be no.
So,just a clarification, when you click the Juno icon and get the first logon screen, the one with your userid/password,and you click dial/connect or whatever, there is no dial attempt, but the error msg appears.
You said,I think, that you could log onto other peoples email but not yours using the same Juno and I assume same pc,which would seem to eliminate a modem def/id problem.
One your initial logon screen, just try re-entering your userid/password,just to make sure that is not corrupted.
When this stopped working, did you change anything,hardware/software,etc.
Just for a sanity check,go to the connection/connect using a modem(make sure that is checked)
Then go to configure configure modems, make sure that the correct modem is identified and then look at properties, etc and see if something looks amiss there, other than that,I'm out of things to try.

well here's one for the books....I went ahead and contacted JUNO's live support, and this is what they told me: If you have emails in your folders that are older that 3 months, they could become corrupted and infect the rest of your files as well!! The rep said that JUNO was very aware of this problem and that they were working on correcting it for the future versions of thier software. Of course JUNO never informed its members about this issue....obviously! And the answer you've all been waiting for....no, emails and folders cannot be recovered! So there you have it...

Thanks for your help, but I have the 5.0 version. It also has a backup function, but unfortunately I wasn't aware of it....until today!
